Zea thinks we should grow more sweet corn

Happy Winter!!

Mike, Zea, and I are currently enjoying some down time together.  This winter we are working on revamping our website to be a wonderful resource for using your veggies – with vegetable guides and searchable recipes. We’re also planning on visiting several other farms to get ideas for how we will build infrastructure at our new land in Cross Plains. Finally, we will be doing our crop and rotation planning for the season. March 1st we’ll turn on the greenhouse and off we’ll go again.

For the 2010 season, we’re adding a new pick-up site in the Blackhawk neighborhood near Wholefoods. We hope this will increase convenience for many of you. Meanwhile, we plan to increase our membership from 190 boxes/week to around 230 boxes/week.  We appreciate all of you who spread the word about what we do!

We’re looking forward to providing our members with high-quality organic produce this coming year.  It will be big fun to farm this coming year with baby Zea. Here’s hoping she likes the backpack…

If you are hoping to join us, we are now accepting registrations for the 2010 Summer and Winter CSA season. Just click on the onion to access the registration form.

Thanks and stay warm!
Sincerely,
Mike, Cassie, and Baby Zea
